cannot be found in the Data Files on CD ....it will not be updated!

When trying to update data for a specific stock, you may see a Toolkit 6 window with a message similar to this:

Apple cannot be found in the Data Files on CD ....it will not be updated!

If that happens, it means that the preferences in Toolkit have been set to look for new company data on a CD or other disk. To correct this, first go to Options > Preferences.

On the Preferences page, make sure that you have selected either StockCentral or BetterInvesting as your data feed.

Click OK, and Toolkit will now use the data service, instead of trying to download new data from your computer.
