Release Notes for Investor's Toolkit
The most current version of Toolkit is 5.1.6
You may check what version you are on from within the program:
- Select the HELP pull down menu
- Click ABOUT INVESTOR'S TOOLKIT. Your version will be listed
To update your software:
- Note that the program checks for the latest version when verifying your Internet connection upon startup.
- If you were not online when the software opened, select the HELP pull down menu
- Click CHECK FOR UPDATES.
March 2008 - Version 5.1.6 update:
1) Updated to account for changes to price data service.
September 2007 - Version 5.1.4 update:
1) Changed URL for obtaining price updates.
April 2006 - Version 5.1.3 updates:
General Items
1) Challenger calculations corrected
2) Ability to import several datafiles at once feature is no longer broken
3) All future patches ensure the auto-updater now closes the program window before patching
October 2005 - Version 5.1.2 updates:
General Items
1) Program no longer hangs with a bad ticker symbol
2) Challenger starting amount is no longer incorrect
3) Letter "t" graphic no longer messed up when importing SDF files
4) Runtime error 3075 no longer occurs in company locator
5) Portfolio Summary Report now properly shows the name of portfolio
6) Challenger printed graph now differentiates graph colors
7) Ticker symbol database updated and old data removed
8) Reports no longer indicates that it is printed by Toolkit 4

June 2005 - Version 5.1.1 updates:
General Items
1) Program no longer experiences run time errors if using preferred procedure
2) Patch updater now points to iclub.com instead of investware.com

4) Removed "Pro features" item in Comparison Guide menu
5) Web links updated
SSG Graph & Analysis
1) SSG Analysis Section 3 now displays PEG ratio
2) All stock chart values are now after-tax values
3) Upside & downside ratio now always match between portfolio view and SSG
Data Entry and Data Items
1) New .SDF file format and judgment compatibility between Stock Analyst and Classic Plus
2) Update Data procedure now ignores all locked companies
PMG & PERT
1) Program no longer crashes if PERT B loaded with missing or 0 data
2) Software now updates PEG ratios in Stock Comparison Guide when EPS changes in PERT
February 2005 - Version 5.0.1 updates:
General Items
1) Program no longer places tmpfile file on desktop for certain users of Windows 98
2) Runtime error eliminated when adding a URL from data screen
3) Adding URL links to company info from Web button no longer results in a runtime error
4) Software now allows you to select a default printer if you have multiple or networked printers
5) If no URL is input, software now presents the "Add URL" window (as opposed to opening a blank browser)
6) Various spelling and grammatical mistakes resolved
7) Program now properly updates any file whether it's an .SSG or .ITK format
SSG Graph & Analysis
1) When entering SSG data manually, program no longer results in multiple errors
2) Section 2B now reflects most recent fiscal year
3) Estimated Average Payout field no longer fails if you press enter as opposed to clicking OK
Data Entry and Data Items
1) SSGs with locked data are no longer attempted to be updated
2) External links found within program have been updated
3) Resolved error that occurs when no data for 52-week low is entered
PMG & PERT
1) Use of Future Earning now properly updates the PMG graph
2) From Library > Portfolio Holding, double-clicking column name no longer displays error message
