Backup Manager

The Backup Manager allows you to make periodic backups of your data to protect your club from errors made when entering or editing transactions. The system will make automatic backups of your database on a periodic basis, but you should regularly make backups according to your club’s data protection policies.   Any member can make or download a backup, but only those members with appropriate accounting privileges can recover a backup. Recovering from a backup will replace your current books with those from when the backup was made. This process can take several minutes and will erase your club's current accounting records.

If you want to restore your Club Accounting Online data to a previous backup, click Recover next to the backup you want to use.

Click on the name of a backup file to download the file to your computer. You can do this to keep a separate copy of your data, or you can import the downloaded file into your desktop Club Accounting software.

You can delete previous backups by checking the boxes next to the data you want to delete. Click the Delete button to complete the process.

Click the Make Backup button to save your current data in a file on the Club Accounting Online server.

Remember: Recovering a backup over-writes your club's current online accounting records, and replaces them with the recovered records. Because this process destroys your current Club Accounting Online data, you might want to make a backup of the current data before restoring an earlier file. To cut down on the possibility that a backup will be restored accidentally, only members with permissions set on the People page that allow them to make accounting entries, are able to Delete or Recover a backup. If you feel that you should have this permission, please check with your treasurer or other club administrator.
