Export Accounting Records

Use this page to export your accounting data and save it on your computer. You can use this data with the desktop version of Club Accounting or for back-up purposes. This page is similar to the Backup Manager, except that no file is stored on the Club Accounting Online server.

Please note: Enhancements made to myICLUB.com have changed the database structure of the export file, so data files created by myICLUB.com will no longer import into the Club Accounting 3 program.

When using this page, keep in mind the location that the file is saved to when you export. the myICLUB.com site does not pick a specific location. Depending on the settings in your web browser, one of a few things can happen.

Some browsers can be set to automatically download files to the same location every time, and will do so without asking, others will ask each time. If your browser asks where to save the file each time, double-check the location, as it can change from one use to the next.

If your browser either does not ask at all, or only asks to confirm if you meant to save the file, you may still need to track it down at some point. With the exception of Internet Explorer 8, current web browsers now keep track of recently downloaded files, and allow those files to be opened from a list. While these browsers have methods for showing this list by going through menus, these menus can be customized or hidden, so this note only shows keyboard combinations.

A few notes on the keyboard combinations listed for each browser:

  • Anything inside a set of <> is the key that needs to be pressed.
  • The + means that the keys need to be pressed at the same time.
  • The Apple key on a Mac keyboard will have a small apple and/or a four leaf clover design on it

ON WINDOWS:

  • Internet Explorer 9, 10 and 11 - < Ctrl > + < J >
  • Firefox 3 and higher - < Ctrl > + < J >
  • Chrome 10 and higher - < Ctrl > + < J >
  • Safari 4 and 5 - < Ctrl > + < Alt > + < L >
  • Internet Explorer 8 - Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) is the only current, widely used browser, that does not keep track of recently downloaded files.(SEE NOTE BELOW)

ON MACINTOSH:

  • Safari 4 and 5- < Alt > + < Apple > + < L >
  • Firefox 3 and higher - < Ctrl > + < J >
  • Chrome 10 and higher - < Apple > + < Shift > + < J >

NOTE ON IE 8:

Other than searching for a file after it is done downloading, the only way to be sure where a file will be when using IE 8 is to make sure you note, and know how to get to the folder which appears after clicking 'Save' for a file you are downloading.
When using IE 8, we strongly suggest you choose Desktop as the location to save your files to, as it is the easiest to find when the download is complete.
