Enabling Cookies on your web browser

For Microsoft Edge:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge, if it isn't already showing a web page.
  2. Hold down the Alt key on your keyboard, and tap the letter f to display the settings menu.
  3. Let go of any keys on the keyboard, and using the mouse, click the entry for Settings, on the menu
  4. On the Settings page, type the word cookies, into the search settings, which is usually near the top of the window
  5. Click on Manage and delete cookies and site data, which will usually be near the bottom of the main part of the window.
  6. Look for Allow sites to save and read cookie data, which is usually near the top of the page.
  7. To the right of this setting is a toggle button, that should look something like this . If it is black and white, the setting is turned off. If that is the case, click the button to activate it.
  8. Once the setting is active, restart your computer, and try the web site again.

 

For Mozilla's Firefox:

  1. With the browser open go to the Tools menu, and select Options.
    1. If you do not see a Tools menu, click the Alt key on your keyboard to get menus to show up.
  2. From the top of the Options window click Privacy.
  3. In the History section, make sure the drop-down menu next to Firefox will: is set to Remember History.
  4. Click OK.
    NOTE: The above steps are only general ones. For more information on handling cookies in Firefox go to Help > Help Contents, and do a search for cookies.

 

For Apple's Safari:

  1. With the browser open go to the Edit menu, and select Options.
    1. If you do not see an Edit menu, click the Alt key on your keyboard to get menus to show up.
  2. From the top of the Options window click Privacy.
  3. In the Block Cookies section, make sure to choose either From third parties and advertisers -or- Never.
  4. Close the window to save changes.

 

For Google's Chrome:

  1. With the browser type the following into the address bar (not a search box), and then click Enter on the keyboard:
    1. chrome://settings/
  2. In the Search Settings box near the top right-hand corner of the page, type cookies, to narrow the settings.
  3. From the settings that show up, click the Content Settings button.
  4. On the window that comes up, make sure that Allow local data to be set (recommended) is selected, and then click Done, at the bottom right-hand corner of the window.
  5. Close the settings window, and then re-start the computer.
