Update Club Settings

The Club Settings page allows you to make changes to several pieces of club information

  • EIN – your club’s tax identifier with the IRS. Especially in cases where your club intends to use the e-File option with the tax printer, this should be filled in.
  • Initial Unit Value – generally $10/unit, which then changes after your club starts investing. You can choose a higher or lower starting value, but once this is set, we suggest the club does not change it later.
  • Choice to include earlier ownership for return calculations on repurchased securities. This only impacts the optional Compound Annual Return column that can be show on the club Valuation report. Other than this, the option does not impact the club accounting in any way.
  • Choice to base merger and spinoff return on market value from the "action" date or on the tax basis. Similar to the Inclue Earlier Ownership, this only impacts the optional Compound Annual Return column that can be show on the club Valuation report. Other than this, the option does not impact the club accounting in any way.
  • Choose a club logo that will appear on reports. This allows you to add an image that will show in the left-hand navigation bar, and on club reports.
    • Click the Browse, or Choose File button to open a window that will let you browse files on your computer.

    • Navigate to a .GIF , .JPG or .PNG image file on your computer, and double-cick to select it. While we don't currently have a limit on the image size, keep in mind that it will be scaled to fit on the left-hand nav bar, so larger images may be difficult to make out.

    • This will return you to the site, where the image name will be listed.

    • Click Save, and the image will be copied from your computer, on to the site. When this is done, the site will take you to the main Accounting page, where the image will now appear in the left-hand nav bar.
