When trying to save a company in Toolkit, you receive the following error: An error occurred while attempting to save company. Application defined or object defined error. No data saved.
This error means that something has been entered into one of the data fields, that Toolkit is not able to understand, or handle. This most often happens while entering data manually; either a symbol was used that Toolkit was not programmed to understand in a particular spot, or some text entered went beyond what Toolkit was able to save.
One of the best ways to check this is to try to re-create the error on a stock where it otherwise is not happening.
If the stock can be opened and saved without any changes made, then it may be best to step through any changes made, to try to pinpoint what change or addition caused the error. Once the this is found, it will be much easier to re-create the error on another stock, and determine the exact reason for the error.
