Uninstall and re-install of Club Accounting

This FAQ is split into two primary sections, one for Windows 2000/XP, and one for Windows Vista and newer.

For Windows 2000/XP

There are two basic steps for fully removing Club Accounting 3:

1. Remove the program from the computer.
2. Download and install the full updated copy from our web site.

This process does not remove your club information, but we strongly suggest you make a backup first:
a. Open Club Accounting 3.
b. Select FILE > EXPORT.
c. Click BROWSE and export the file to a location of your choosing, such as "Desktop".
d. Close Club Accounting.


Uninstalling Club Accounting

Go to START > CONTROL PANEL > ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS, and remove club accounting.
If this does not work, take the following steps:

  • Restart your computer.
  • When the computer comes back on, open MY COMPUTER, the icon on your desk (or Start menu) that looks like a computer.
  • Right-Click on the C drive (sometimes also called Local Disc C), and choose Explore.
  • On the left hand side of the Explore window, click on the folder 'Program Files'.
  • Still on the left hand side, look for a folder under Program Files named 'ICLUBcentral', and click to select it.
  • Under the ICLUBcentral folder, find and right-click on the folder 'Club Accounting 3'.
  • From the menu that comes up, select DELETE.
  • Windows may ask you to confirm the removal of this folder; please do so.
  • Close any open windows.

 

Re-installing Club Accounting

  • In your web browser, go to https://www.iclub.com/support/downloads.asp
  • Click on DOWNLOAD link for your copy of Windows, next to the CLUB ACCOUNTING icon.
  • Fill in the information on the next page, and then click the DOWNLOAD button.
  • Click SAVE FILE (Firefox) or SAVE (Internet Explorer)
  • Select DESKTOP for the save directory (you may need to click SAVE again to confirm the Desktop after selecting it.)
  • When the download is complete, close your web browser and double-click on the installation file on your desktop.
  • Follow the on-screen installation instructions.

 



For Windows Vista and newer


There are two basic steps for fully removing Club Accounting 3:

1. Remove the program from the computer.
2. Download and install the full updated copy from our web site.


IF YOU CANNOT OPEN CLUB ACCOUNTING, then skip this step and proceed to UNINSTALL. This step allows you to save your data.
a. Open Club Accounting 3.
b. Select FILE > EXPORT.
c. Click BROWSE and export the file to a location of your choosing, such as "Desktop".
d. Close Club Accounting.


UNINSTALL CLUB ACCOUNTING

 

RE-INSTALLING Club Accounting

  • In your web browser, go to https://www.iclub.com/support/downloads.asp
  • Click on DOWNLOAD link for your copy of Windows, next to the CLUB ACCOUNTING icon.
  • Fill in the information on the next page, and then click the DOWNLOAD button.
  • Click SAVE FILE (Firefox) or SAVE (Internet Explorer)
    • NOTE: Depending on the security settings in your copy of Windows, there may be an alert when you try to download or install club accounting. The alert will encourage you to delete the program, since we're not generally recognized by Windows. If you run into this, take the following steps: Click the More Info link next to the OK button, and then click the Run anyway button that will appear.
  • Select DESKTOP for the save directory (you may need to click SAVE again to confirm the Desktop after selecting it.)
  • When the download is complete, close your web browser and double-click on the installation file on your desktop.
  • Follow the on-screen installation instructions.
