Error 75 / Unable to make a backup

When trying to update Stock Analyst, or make a backup, you may run into an error that will stop the process, and sometimes for the program to close.

Usually this means the program isn't running in administrator mode on the computer.

Since we have run into cases where activating Admin mode for the program after it has been in use, the first thing we suggest is to make a backup of any stocks you want to save.

To make a backup when Admin mode is not active:

1. Create a new folder on your computer desktop. This will hold your SSG files. The name doesn't matter, but for this example, we're using Analyst SSG Files.
2. Once the folder is created, open Stock Analyst, and go to File > Export > SSG Data
3. On the right-hand side of the window, double-click C:\, then Users, then your name, then Desktop, and lastly the new folder created in step one.
4. If you want to select only a few companies, hold down the Ctrl key, and click on each one. Otherwise, simply click the "Select All" button.
5. Click "Start Export", and then OK when Analyst reports that the export is complete, and then "Close" on the Export window.
6. Close Stock Analyst.
