The myICLUB.com broker sync is designed to connect to your brokerage, and download securities transactions, for up to one year's worth of transactions. The information below goes into more detail, but here are the basics:
- Broker Sync connects and downloads Buy, Sell, Dividend, and other transactions. If your club has set up the Cents Method in the Accounting > Utilities page, broker sync can import member deposits, as well.
- As of this writing (09/25/25), there are a handful of transactions that are not imported:
- For Securities: stock splits, or mergers or spinoff transactions; those must be entered manually
- For members: Withdrawals, and deposits intended to be member fees.
- Broker Sync checks the downloaded transactions vs. anything already entered in the club books. If the transaction details match exactly, the downloaded transaction is ignored. If there are differences, broker sync imports the transaction, so be careful about importing for dates you have already made entries.
- Broker sync is a one-way process, so entries you make manually in the accounting records are not sent back to the broker
- Broker sync must be triggered by the club, it will not automatically connect to the brokerage.
The first step for a Broker Sync should always be to make a backup; when you first go to Accounting > Utilities > Broker Sync, take the option to make a backup before continuing

After making a backup, choose your broker.
- Charles Schwab
- Fidelity
- Siebert
- Interactive Brokers
- E*Trade
All of the brokers have similar options about importing data, so don't be concerned if the screenshots below do not *exactly* match what you see, as far as the name of the broker.
Once you choose your broker, you will see a screen similar to this:

Select the account that you want any transactions recorded to. Usually this will be your broker account
Select Import cash flows if you want ALL transactions imported. If you select to import Cash Flows, the system will pick up all money going out or coming into the club, and attempt to apply it to the club records. This can be helpful if you suspect a transaction might be missing from the club records, but will often lead to placeholder Beginning Balance entries that you will need to delete and re-enter with the proper type of transaction.
Enter your username and password for the broker site.
Choose the date interval. This determines how many days worth of information we try to download and import from the broker. The default is 90 days, but you can manually enter a smaller amount of time, or choose one of the other options for the entire Calendar year, or All Records.
Click Import, and we wiil download and import the requested information from the broker.
NOTES:
- The imported data will always import from the earliest date you choose, to the current date.
- Each transaction has an ID number from the broker, so if you make multiple imports on the same date, the system will not import duplicate transactions from the broker.
- If you have already entered a transaction, and the broker sync finds something similar in the broker's information, it will import that transaction.
- We will try to alert you to any transactions that might be duplicated between the broker sync and records you have entered manually, but if you import records that also cover a time when manual entries were made, be sure to double-check the club records once the broker sync is complete.
