While we do have a large number of companies listed in our suggestions database, most of them are individual companies that trade on one of the major markets.
If you are trying to enter a Buy transaction for a Money Market or a Mutual Fund, ETF, or other type of security, the suggestion database may not show the name when entering a Buy transaction.
Similarly, we may not have securities that trade on the OTC or PNK markets in our suggestion database.

If it happens that you start to type in a ticker symbol, and a name does not appear in a drop-down menu, finish entering the ticker symbol as you normally would when entering a Buy transaction, and then click the tab key on the keyboard until it gets to the *shares* field. You will still be able to enter the order, and in most cases the system will be able to find the correct name when you complete the sale.

If for some reason the company name does not look correct after completing the sale, you can adjust it using a few steps:

For myICLUB users:

• When signed in to myiclub.com, click the ACCOUNTING tab near the top of the page.
• Click the SECURITIES heading on the left-hand side of the page.
• Click either SECURITY SETTINGS on the left-hand side of the page, or UPDATE SECURITY SETTINGS near the top of the page.
• On the security Settings page, click the Pencil/EDIT link next to the stock you would like to change.
• On the following page, you can change the Company name, Symbol and other information.
  • Note that there is a box titled Symbol, and a box titled Quote Symbol near the bottom of the page. If you would like the ticker to display a short name on the main accounting page, enter the short name in the Symbol box, and the true ticker symbol in the Quote Symbol box. If not, enter the same ticker symbol in both boxes.
    Click the SUBMIT button near the bottom right-hand corner of the page to save any changes.

For StockCentral users adding companies to a portfolio:

• When signed in to the site, click the UTILITIES link near the top right-hand corner of the page.
• On the following page, click the EDIT link for the security
• On the following page, you can change the Company name, Symbol and other information.
  • Note that there is a box titled Symbol, and a box titled Quote Symbol near the bottom of the page. If you would like the ticker to display a short name on the main accounting page, enter the short name in the Symbol box, and the true ticker symbol in the Quote Symbol box. If not, enter the same ticker symbol in both boxes.
    Click the SUBMIT button near the bottom right-hand corner of the page to save any changes.

Last, if the ticker is one that we do not receive price updates for, it will initially show up on the Accounting page as a 0.00 value.

This doesn't mean the stock price has to show 0.00 on the Portfolio page or valuation report at all times, though. When you create a valuation, manually enter the price for the security at that time; the system will remember the price you enter, and display it on the Portfolio (or any page where the stock price might show up) until you create a new valuation.
