CAMBRIDGE, MA, May 18, 2001 — Actifunds Corporation, the leader in investment club technologies, today announced its acquisition of investment club community site ICLUBcentral. Actifunds, which recently acquired club accounting software provider EasyWare Software, will add the content from ICLUBcentral to its websites, starting with www.iclub.com. Douglas Gerlach, the founder of ICLUBcentral as well as the author of several investing books and a member of the first online investment club, recently accepted a position as Senior Contributing Editor of the combined companies.

Actifunds' online and desktop applications for investment clubs will be enriched by the comprehensive information for investors and investment clubs that ICLUBcentral has been offering since 1997. Currently, more than 1.25 million U.S. investors are involved in investment clubs, a number that has quadrupled over the past decade, partially due to heavy consumer adoption of email and easy availability of investment information online.
