Select Security: BHP Billiton (BHP)
Save the transaction and the dividend has been entered.
The Buy Entry
Go to Transactions > Buy or Accounting > Securities > Buy depending on the version of the software being used.
Here is the information you need to complete the buy.

Select Security: South32 (SOUHV)
Number of Shares Bought : This is .4 x (# of BHP shares owned). For 100 shares of BHP this would be 40.
Net Total of Purchase: This should be the same as the dividend amount above. For 100 shares of BHP this would be 360.
Fractional Share Sale
This is only needed if you received cash-in-lieu of fractional shares from this transaction. The amount will be listed on your broker statement.
Go to Transactions > Sell or Accounting > Securities > Sell depending on the version of the software being used.
Shares sold: The non-whole share amount from the calculation .4 x (# of BHP shares owned). For example, if 102 BHP shares owned .4 x 100 = 40.8. The non-whole amount would be .8.
