For the third year in a row, ICLUBcentral Inc. is proud to be a corporate sponsor of Boston's Courageous Challenge. This 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization provides a fun and safe environment for the children of Boston to learn positive life skills and values through the sport of sailing. Each year, more than 2,300 young people from the city learn to sail with Courageous Challenge's experienced instructors, in the process picking up leadership, communication, decision-making and teamwork skills.
Since it was founded in 1987, more than 10,000 children have learned to sail through Courageous Challenge, the largest youth sailing program of its kind in the U.S. Many students have later returned to Courageous as Instructors, gaining valuable work experience while continuing to grow and mature. For many of these youth, Courageous Challenge provides their first interaction with the natural habitat of Boston Harbor, far from the urban neighborhoods where most make their homes.
For more information about Courageous Challenge, to learn more about their free and low-cost sailing classes for both adults and children, or to make a charitable contribution, please visit http://www.courageoussailing.org/.
ICLUBcentral's team of representatives headed home two weeks ago from CompuFest 2005 in Buffalo after four very busy days of meeting with users and showing off the brand new Club Accounting 3. And we're happy to report that those club treasurers who were able to take a look at the program gave it universal high marks!
In fact, treasurers weren't the only people to give us positive feedback. One club member, upon Club Accounting 3 in action, "I'm no longer afraid of being club treasurer!" What better tool could there be for a club treasurer other than a program that can be used by any other member of the club!
So what's so new and terrific about Club Accounting 3? When you open Club Accounting 3 for the first time, you'll be dazzled by the colorful user interface, with a handy left navigation panel that includes most commonly-used tools. The menu structure has been re-organized to better fit with the way that treasurers work. The Account Reconciliation feature helps you match your books to your bank or brokerage statement. And Wizards step through the process of preparing for a meeting, wrapping up after a meeting or closing the books for the year.
Underneath the hood, you can say goodbye to the Audit function -- all transactions are now automatically audited when you enter them. The accounting calculations now match Club Accounting Online 100%, eliminating annoying rounding errors and ensuring the accuracy of your data. The new program eliminates problems with Java and firewalls, and you can now choose whether or not to reinvest annual income and expenses. An Automatic Updater tells you when updates are available to the program, and then lets you download and install them automatically.
The best way to evaluate Club Accounting 3 is to give it a test drive for yourself. Just download the demo from the ICLUB.com web site and import your club's data into the program. For 30 days, you'll have full use of the program, and when you decide to buy (and we're confident that you will), just use the Serial number from your purchase to activate the full program.
The good news doesn't end there. For BetterInvesting members who are using NAIC Club Accounting 2, the price of the upgrade is just $99. This includes a printed manual, one year of Club Accounting Maintenance (a $49 value) and one year of Club Accounting Online (another $49 value). An additional license is available for assistant or co-treasurers, as well.
What are you waiting for? For more about Club Accounting 3, or to download the demo, please visit http://www.iclub.com/ca3/.
