It's Time to File Your Club Tax Returns
Within a week, most investment clubs should have received their Form 1099 reports from their brokerage firms and other financial institutions. This means that clubs will soon be able to prepare and file their 2012 investment club tax returns using the ICLUBcentral Club Tax Printer programs.
ICLUBcentral's 2012 Club Tax Printers were released at the end of January 2013 for both Club Accounting 3 and myICLUB.com. Those who have pre-ordered can download them from ICLUB.com for Club Accounting 3 or visit the Taxes tab in myICLUB.com to start working on their tax forms. Those who ordered the program on CD should expect to receive them in the last week of February.
The IRS forms and the state forms for all states except Colorado, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania are final. We are awaiting final approval from those three states and hope to release them shortly.

Managing Your Mutual Fund Documents

Any mutual fund investor soon discovers that mutual fund companies generate a lot of paperwork and documents. Typical mailings include the prospectus, regular shareholder statements, statements of additional information and the shareholder report. What is their value to you?
Fund statements contain records of your fund investments, including the dates shares were purchased, how many shares were purchased, and at what price. You should keep these statements so you can see how your fund investment performed over time and so that you have the right figures for tax purposes.

Free Webinar on Technical Stock Charting
StockCentral.com recently added new features to its suite of tools for stock investors. These new features incorporate technical charting tools that include historical stock price charts in several formats along with several of the most popular indicators that can now be overlaid on any StockCentral chart. Simple and exponential moving averages, Bollinger bands, relative strength index, and MACD overlays are all supported on line, candlestick, and Open-High-Low-Close chart types.
Recently, the charting tool was upgraded to allow users to plot stock splits and dividends on the graph or switch to a semilog scale.
