Defining the ‘Roster of Quality'

One of the most common questions the gurus at ICLUBcentral receive is: How do you decide what companies to include on the Roster of Quality list in Toolkit 6? The exact formulas we use to determine the quality of a company are proprietary, but here is some guidance on what we're looking for with our formulas:

Growth: Key attributes of a company's annual sales over a period of up to 10 years, rated on a composite scale of 1-10. Our basis pegs 3.4 as the minimum and 6.7 or above as desirable.

Efficiency: Management's ability to continue to generate healthy sales and earnings, with an eye to profit margins and return on equity.

Windows 8 and Club Accounting

Got a new computer that uses Windows 8 or Windows 8.1? We've received reports from a few users of ICLUBcentral's Club Accounting that a brand new computer with Windows 8 doesn't have part of the .NET software Club Accounting requires. The installer (and Windows) will notify you of this and offer to install the .NET, but you may be required to restart the Club Accounting install process. To avoid any hassles, we've put together a note with steps you can take to check for the .NET piece first, and install Club Accounting interruption. MoneyShow and ICLUBcentral Head to San Francisco

Doug Gerlach, ICLUBcentral president, will discuss his seven-step method for picking stocks Aug. 21 at free The MoneyShow San Francisco. Doug will also provide in-depth analysis of several small-cap companies in his seminar on Aug. 23.
